(Maybe I&#8217;m glad I ended up with more than 27 chapters&#8230;)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It also worked well since it is all about Local Boy &amp; Cousin Jimmy forming a band and learning covers from the 27 Club members they have awareness of circa 1976. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=pte3Jg-2Ax4\">Thirteen<\/a> songs<sup data-fn=\"c034e933-225f-48e7-acce-f218be26596e\" class=\"fn\"><a href=\"#c034e933-225f-48e7-acce-f218be26596e\" id=\"c034e933-225f-48e7-acce-f218be26596e-link\">1<\/a><\/sup>, skipping Paul McCartney since Local Boy considered it a sacrilege. Mainly I didn&#8217;t want to overdo the four-letter <em>LBXX<\/em> pattern, and when you&#8217;re starting with <em>LBCJ<\/em> your brain just goes there.<sup data-fn=\"2b81eebe-0480-42cd-a301-c08163ffa667\" class=\"fn\"><a href=\"#2b81eebe-0480-42cd-a301-c08163ffa667\" id=\"2b81eebe-0480-42cd-a301-c08163ffa667-link\">2<\/a><\/sup><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&#8220;Old Lyndon didn&#8217;t play, but he had <a href=\"https:\/\/www.houstonpress.com\/music\/6-songs-for-lbj-day-ones-about-his-dick-6491185?showFullText=true\">a few protest songs<\/a> written about him.&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>I always knew I wanted cover art featuring a folk guitarist being controlled by marionette strings. Planned on seeing if <em>TP <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.timelypersuasion.com\/blog\/?p=386\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"386\">cover artist Jose Robert\u00f3<\/a> would do something but couldn&#8217;t get a hold of him. Later I stumbled onto a work called <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pintoart.org\/puppet-master\">Puppet Master by Elmer Borlongan<\/a> when Googling for marionette musicians. Tried to secure the rights to use it but also couldn&#8217;t get in touch. Eventually my old friend Russell Foltz-Smith came through with his take on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.worksonbecoming.com\/on-becoming\/2024\/2\/27\/parable-of-the-poor-ol-puppet-pandering-ploy?srsltid=AfmBOooF141_2M2teq5XfjTcER57MTpuBEWk2277OIJxp-hBicACGUhp\">poor ol&#8217; puppet pandering ploy<\/a>. The line about honoring &#8220;the wishes of everyone who had me by the strings at the intersection of the past, present and future\u201d evokes that cover art.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>After briefly considering <em>Name That Tune<\/em> or<em> <\/em>the Johnny Bravo episode of <em>The Brady Bunch<\/em>, of course it comes back to Scooby-Doo. Rules-wise, once you&#8217;ve had that type of time travel merging you can always see a fellow traveler for who they really are.
