Ward and Zooey Deschanel (aka <a title=\"Amazon MP3: She &amp; Him - Volume One\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B0014DLXLW?tag=timelpersu-20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">She &amp; Him<\/a>) cover &#8220;<a title=\"Amazon MP3: &quot;Start Choppin'&quot;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B0012F6WCW?tag=timelpersu-20\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\">Start Choppin&#8217;<\/a>&#8221; by Dinosaur Jr., trading verses in an acoustic duet. \u00a0Sounds fabulous too, with M. nailing the high pitched &#8220;goodbye&#8221; parts and the whole thing feeling very much like &#8220;<a title=\"Amazon MP3: &quot;Sometimes Always&quot;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B00122R8Q4?tag=timelpersu-20\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\">Sometimes Always<\/a>&#8221; or &#8220;<a title=\"NoAloha.com - &quot;Do You Love Me Now Jr.?&quot;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.noaloha.com\/breeders\/download.php?item=287\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\">Do You Love Me Now Jr.?<\/a>&#8220;<\/li>\n<li>Time Magazine called &#8220;The Constant&#8221; from Season 4 of <em>LOST<\/em> the single <a title=\"Time.com - 10 Best TV Episodes\" href=\"http:\/\/www.time.com\/time\/specials\/2008\/top10\/article\/0,30583,1855948_1863367,00.html\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\">best television episode of 2008<\/a>. \u00a0And with its brilliant use of time travel I think the episode will eventually turn my trinity (<em>Replay<\/em>, <em>Quantum Leap<\/em>, <em>Back To The Future<\/em>) into a quartet.<\/li>\n<li>The original <em>Back To The Future <\/em>is being re-released as a <a title=\"Amazon.com - Back To The Future\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B001LXIDVI?tag=timelpersu-20\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\">double disc DVD<\/a> in February. \u00a0Footage from &#8220;Back To The Future: The Ride&#8221; that was recently closed down will be included as a bonus feature. \u00a0This was on the wishlist when the original DVDs of the trilogy came out a few years ago. \u00a0Now only the Eric Stoltz as Marty footage eludes us&#8230;<\/li>\n<li>I&#8217;m in the middle of reading <a title=\"Amazon.com - Slaughterhouse-Five\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/0385333846?tag=timelpersu-20\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Slaughterhouse-Five<\/em><\/a> for the first time and was pleasantly surprised to come across the line: &#8220;Billy <em>blinked<\/em> in 1965, traveled in time to 1958.&#8221; \u00a0Perhaps that&#8217;s where my future self got the phrasing. \u00a0So it goes&#8230;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In the spirit of the early years of the Pearl Jam Xmas Single, here are some tangentially on-topic thoughts not big enough for their own posts: I&#8217;ve been having recurring dreams (and\/or daydreams) where M.
