I’ve added a half price PDF version of the book to the Lulu store to complement the free online html edition for the tech savvy in the audience.
There’s also a free, password protected PDF version available this week only in honor of Read an eBook Week. What’s the password? Clues are available in the read me file included with the download. Why a password? It’s no fun if you don’t have to work for it at least a little bit
.
Free, Password Protected PDF available March 2 – March 8 only.
(Thanks to my friend BoRyan for assistance with this.)
In related news, I had a couple of responses to my email announcing the book from old friends asking if they could pay something for the free online version. Though I sincerely appreciate the gesture, my thoughts on the subject are on a new page on the official website available here.
Happy reading.

I would have given your pdf, and you as an author, at least a shot at holding my interest – but here it is, 9pm on March 8th, and the link is already dead. Disappointing, but oh well. I’m no longer willing to take the time to see whether or not I missed anything worthwhile.
Bob,
I removed the link to the eBook Week password protected PDF from the blog early this morning since I was leaving town for a week and will likely not have access to update the website remotely. (I saw this comment on my phone and am replying via a shared computer where I’m staying.) However, you raise a fair point that “through March 8″ can and should be interpreted as “through midnight on March 8″ for the purposes of the promotion. I apologize if you feel misled; that was not my intent.
As it turns out, in my haste to catch a plane this morning I updated the blog but didn’t publish my changes to the proper website, and thus the password protected PDF is still available there from the following:
http://www.timelypersuasion.com/Purchase.html
In lieu of this blunder on my end and Bob’s feeling that may be shared by others, I’ve decided to leave the free password protected PDF up for an additional week until I return from my trip. The free, online HTML version will continue to be available indefinitely at reader.timelypersuasion.com. (This has always been my intent with the online version; only the password protected PDF was a limited time eBook week offer.)
In the interest of full disclosure and specificity, I will take down the link to the PDF sometime during the day on Sunday, March 16. It won’t be at any set time, just sometime on Sunday.
Thanks to Bob for bringing this confusion to my attention. Once again, I offer my apologies to Bob and anyone else who may have felt there was a bait and switch going on here and hope this helps to make up for it.
Best,
-JL
